We are committed to clinical excellence, operational discipline, and building leadership teams that create meaningful, scalable impact for families and communities.As Ascend continues to grow across multiple states, we are seeking a Regional Clinical Director (RCD) to provide multi-site clinical leadership and strategic oversight.
Position Overview
The Regional Clinical Director will oversee clinical quality, BCBA leadership development, and operational alignment across multiple Ascend centers. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring consistent clinical excellence, strong center performance, and scalable growth across the region.The RCD will partner closely with Center Directors and executive leadership to support new center launches, mentor clinical leaders, and drive key performance metrics related to quality, compliance, retention, and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality Oversight
- Provide clinical oversight and quality assurance across multiple center-based ABA programs.
- Ensure compliance with BACB standards, state licensure regulations, and company policies.
- Review clinical documentation, treatment plans, and assessment practices to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Monitor clinical KPIs and implement corrective action plans where necessary.
Leadership Development
- Mentor, coach, and develop Center Directors and BCBAs.
- Support performance management, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development.
- Facilitate quarterly leadership reviews and performance evaluations.
- Provide structured feedback and growth plans for clinical leaders.
Multi-Site Operational Partnership
- Collaborate with operational leadership to support center performance and scalability.
- Support new center launches and stabilization efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, staffing models, and client retention.
- Minimize cancellations and maximize center capacity utilization.
Strategic Growth
- Contribute to long-term regional growth planning.
- Support hiring of BCBAs and clinical team members.
- Ensure clinical readiness for expansion into new markets.
- Drive alignment between clinical outcomes and financial performance.
Travel Expectations
- The Regional Clinical Director will have an assigned primary or “home” center, determined based on geographic proximity and organizational needs (e.g., Farmington, CT; Hawthorne, NY; Westport, CT; or other regional locations).
- The majority of time will be spent supporting and working from the designated home center.
- Regular travel is required across assigned regional centers (currently including locations in CT, NY, PA, and TN).
- In-region centers may require approximately 2+ days per month of on-site presence, subject to business needs.
- Out-of-state centers may require periodic multi-day visits to support leadership development, performance alignment, and growth initiatives.
- All reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Active state licensure (CT or NY LBA required; multi-state licensure a plus).
- 5+ years of progressive ABA clinical leadership experience.
- Experience overseeing multiple clinicians or centers preferred.
- Strong knowledge of center-based ABA operations.
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing BCBAs.
- Experience with performance metrics, quality assurance, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
